1974 chevrolet nova ss

Chevrolet Nova SS 1974, anyone who is vintage car savvy, need advise pls?

we are looking into buying a 1974 Chevy Nova SS. it has been parked for 12 years. not running at all. body seems to be in no rust condition (def. needs to be repainted) but you can see through the interior floor (lots of rust) how much is a car like that worth.
thank you for takink the time to answer my question, we saw the car yesturday, definately a rust bucket as 1 of you mentioned.... he is asking minimum 2500$. the motor is a 350. bucket seat, tires look good. i don't know what else to mention..

the 454 was the rare ss for 74, you did not say what motor was in it, however a rust bucket is a project car for sure, Look on www.nada.com and click on their consumer site and click classics and then click muscle cars, a super nice ss would be worth about 15 grand, you can check on hemmings motor news, this is a online car lovers magazine that has deep roots in the car world, all over the world, I found one 73 nova ss for just under 14 grand. this is one of those cars, that while not as collectible as some earlier novas the value will still go up over the next 10 to 20 years, these cars, especially anything with a factory big block are getting more rare everyday. From what you are describing though, is a car that needs a complete and total rebuild, and you could easily spend more than the value of the car is worth in good condition. 12 years, not running, this is a frame off restoration, and you are talking a lot of money, and tons of work in just the body alone. Keep looking there are some early 60 s novas that are worth a lot of money when finished, a 74 is not one of them. best of luck
additional details bolloon head needs to do some research, there is no 74 nova that is going to sell for 20 to 30 thousand, numbnuts is just picking numbers out of his butt, its sad, when people who have no idea what they are talking about, pass out disinformation, which in reality, makes them look kind of stoopid !! what else is there to say?
