How to get more horsepower and torque?

I have a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice Classic and I have a stock 305 small block V8. Everything under the hood Stock is … any suggestions???

Drop to 350 in what will be the easiest way, the engine 305 is lame and not really worth putting a good money on performance parts.
